Prepares patient meals on a trayline serving correct portion according to tray tickets menus .
Delivers patient meal trays , nourishments and tube feedings products , following correct delivery procedures and supervisor 's instructions .
Serves Veterans , physicians , volunteers and other staff with courtesy , respect and cooperativeness at all times .
Wears proper protective equipment ( gloves , goggles , etc. ) when using cleaning agents .
Follows all safety sanitation and isolation procedures , avoiding hazards and accidents .
Appropriate amounts of cleaning agents are used and floors , dishes , pots , pans , utensils , etc. are properly cleaned .
Operates ware washing machines ( dish or pot and pan ) , water and steam hoses and any other equipment , following proper operating and maintenance procedures .
Equipment and work areas are properly cleaned and sanitized as assigned .
Cleans work areas , food delivery trucks , lowerators , steam tables and any other equipment using appropriate cleaning solutions , mixed according to guidelines .
Retrieves meal trays from patient bedside and dining room utilizing correct procedures for transporting soiled trays and infection control .
Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards and established procedures while working in a kitchen .
Sets up and works assigned tray assembly stations , placing required food items , etc. on trays according to tray tickets and menu guidelines .
Assists in the assembly of salads and desserts in the cold food unit , and proportions following production guidelines , menus , recipes , and supervisor 's instructions .
Performs work assignments to meet Food Service Time Requirements ; follows policies , procedures and supervisors instructions .
