    DUTIES:

    You will serve as the Secretary of the General Staff (SGS), to the TARDEC Director regarding the administration and coordination of Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) operations. Responsible for the review, editing and processing of all correspondence going to the Directors office for approval/signature. Follows up on all correspondence to ensure proper coordination, correctness, timeliness, and completion of assigned actions. Provides advisory service to the Chief of Staff in the management of its day-to-day operations. Analyze information and assess progress of programs, projects and processes to determine appropriate staffing actions.  Disseminate command information to appropriate Business Groups received from the Department of the Army, Army Materiel Command, RDECOM and other external activities.  Represents the SGS at conferences and meetings. Communicates all essential information throughout the appropriate organizations and effectively carries out all actions/assignments and recommends corrective action or preventive measures.

    • Review correspondence for format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
    • Ensure completion of assigned documents for the organization.

    • Present information on recommendations for the organization.
    • Formulate information in order to present to business group within the organization.
    • Maintain a professional rapport with Executives and Action officers for the organization.
    • Coordinate all correspondence and documents channeled through the Directors office.
    • Provide advisory service to the Chief of Staff in the management of its day-to-day operations.
