  • Writes new releases, features stories, scripts, announcements, speeches, copy and fact sheets for both internal and external audiences.
  • Interviews subject matter experts and performs topic research as needed for written materials.
  • Increase internal and external awareness of programs, services, special events and projects through print publications and electronic dissemination.
  • Writes technical and scientific articles, documents or journals, taking responsibility for content preparation, style, tone and comprehension level.
  • Edits documents such as scripts, announcements, speeches, fact sheets, brochures.
  • Edits technical and scientific articles and other documents for accuracy of content, style, tone, comprehension level and grammar
  • Establishes, monitors and maintains social media messages, including Twitter and Facebook.
  • Maintain proactive contacts with media outlets to pitch articles and place stories with media outlets.
  • Uses a broad range of sources to gather pertinent information to analyze and present the information in multiple formats, including print and electronic.
  • Skilled use of desktop publishing technologies to write or edit material, develop graphic materials and prepare layouts for print and electronic distribution.
